2024 IEEE NSS/MIC/RTSD Conference Report
Report from the Nuclear Science Symposium, Medical Imaging Conference (NSS/MIC), and Room-Temperature Semiconductor Detectors Conference (RTSD)
Despite the challenges, the conference attracted around 1,400 registered participants, 56 exhibitors, and seven sponsors (NIH, Brightonix Imaging, JCNS, Luxium Solutions, RMD/Hilger, NPSS, and NK&K). The event featured a rich program, including seven short courses, six workshops, and seven special events.

While there are undoubtedly natural forces at work that contribute to the changing climate on a timescale of tens of thousands of years moving from glacial eras to higher temperature periods and vice versa, there is no doubt now that we humans are accelerating these “warming processes” by releasing excessive amounts of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
