EAPPC-BEAMS-EML 2024 is organized by Eindhoven University of Technology with Guus Pemen as the General Chair and Jun Li as the EML Chair. Technical Chairs are Tom Huiskamp for EAPPC, Bucur Novac for BEAMS, and Xinjie Yu for EML. This conference will feature three and a half days of discussion on research and applications with respect to pulsed power technology, high-power particle beams, and electromagnetic launch technology.

Transactions Best Paper 2024

The IEEE Transactions On Nuclear Science Best Paper Award is an annual award recognizing the most significant paper published in the Transactions in a given year. The award is sponsored by the IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society and the winning paper is selected according to its quantifiable usefulness to the community

2024 Phelps Award Winners

The 2024 Paul Phelps Continuing Education Grant was awarded to three student members from the radiation effects community. At the opening of the NSREC Conference (22nd July 2024), Robert Reed, Chair of the Radiation Effects Steering Group, announced the grant awards.

Dr. Steven H. Gold Invited by IEEE NPSS Chengdu Chapter to Deliver a Lecture at UESTC

Dr. Gold commenced his presentation by charting the formation and evolution of the IEEE and its NPSS. He provided a historical narrative of the International Conference on Plasma Science (ICOPS) and the IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science (TPS), underscoring their pivotal milestones and contributions over the past fifty years.

Educational and Transnational Committees NPSS School on “Advanced Topics in Medical Imaging in Indonesia

The IEEE NPSS School on “Advanced Topics in Medical Imaging” was held in the city of Depok in Jakarta (Java Island, Indonesia) 31st July – 4th August, 2024.

The school was organized by the NPSS Educational Committee in collaboration with Supriyanto (Supri) Ardjo Pawiro from the Department of Physics of the Faculty of Mathematics and Sciences at University of Indonesia.

ICOPS & APCOPTS 2024 NPSS Chapters in China Event Successfully Held

The IEEE International Conference on Plasma Science (ICOPS) is an annual conference coordinated by the Plasma Science and Applications Committee (PSAC) of the IEEE Nuclear & Plasma Sciences Society (NPSS) — the largest and most academically influential international conference in the field of plasma science.
